So...I have finally nailed down some dates for my HOLIDAY sessions! In the past I have made these available in July and have sold out REALLY fast and this year I wanted to wait a bit (I was traveling so much) and I wanted to try to work sessions around my kiddos soccer so I wouldn't miss as much of it as I did last year!
I LOVE watching my kiddos play and I have 3 playing this year including my youngest who is completely smitten with his new cleats!
So I will be doing a slew of mini sessions in Sept and full sessions in October. I will announce the dates here....but don't start emailing quite yet....I will be announcing all the final stuff next week...but this is just to get you thinking and chatting with your family members over which dates work the best! :)
Dates for mini-sessions are
Sat. Sept 19th- Three sessions available starting around 4:30
Mon. Sept 21st- Three sessions available starting around 4:30
Wed. Sept 23rd- Three sessions available starting around 4:30
Fri. Sept. 25th-Three sessions available starting around 4:30
Sat. Sept. 26th- Three sessions available in the morning starting at 8:45
So chat with the hubs...chat with your kiddos....check out your calendar and start planning what the heck you are going to wear! I will be announcing all the full details mid-next week!
Full session dates are as follows so far:

I have a couple other dates in Oct...but they will be up next week as well.
The studio will be CLOSED OCT 1st-5th for travel to UTAH and Oct. 8th-12th for another trip!
The next item of FUN is the BIG news that I am GIVING AWAY a FREE mini-session! Details will be forthcoming so keep on checking back for all the contest excitement!

I have a couple more little cuties from CPR to show you....and then we will begin some more newborn baby fun!
First up is a set of super little blondie sisters....they were so sweet and I was so glad that they had a little "sass" too....I LOVE when little girls are fine dancing in front of a crowd...
Next up is Miss "L"...her momma was taking classes at CPR and was SUPER excited to be able to watch her daughter model...
what do you do when someone has uber long hair...you braid it...ofcourse...
And then these little girlies were so fun....two of them are sisters and one is a cousin who was lucky enough to get to come with them! How fun is that!

This has been a busy week...I finally got all of the laundry done from the camping on the beach trip....got everyone well and then my sweet grandma went into the hospital right after my grandpa had just gotten out. SO I have gotten a bit behind in work unfortunately! Sorry about that!
I meet kids all the time....I am the type of person that is making "googley eyes" with the baby in front of me at the checkout counter at the grocery store.
Or playing peek a boo with a baby at the doctor's office. I LOVE babies and children. I just can't help it. And I have found that 97% of the kids that I have ever met like me A LOT too (the 3% that didn't like me were in a need of a LONG nap).
So even though I LOVE kids and I know that they will love me once we play a bit it still completely AMAZES me when I meet a child that I have never met and they instantly act like I am their best friend...it just makes me giggle and feel so special inside that they trust me enough to let me photograph them.
This little cookie was one of those kids that just treated me like her new best friend! It was a little magical even though it was a million degrees outside and super humid in Dallas!

Miss R was in deep thought here when I asked her if she liked "chocolate or vanilla" ice cream better.

We had his session at CPR in Dallas at one of the hottest times of the day....and so mom was brilliant and gave him a water bottle to play with! He was going to jump in the water but it was still a little hot for his feet.....but man did he have fun with the water bottle...
This little dude was SO happy that I had brought candy....here is asking for more....But my ALL-TIME favorite shot of this guy is this one....THE drool shot! It totally makes me GIGGLE!

This little sweet heart was the youngest of my little friends at CPR and she was also my very first session.....she was so tender and warmed up to me pretty quickly!
Her momma is getting ready to have a little boy any day now! SO exciting for their family! I am so glad that I was able to capture their relationship before little brother comes!

Last years sessions sold out VERY quickly!
I get to meet some really amazing people and some pretty cool animals too....one of these days I need to dig into my archives to find the smattering of pictures of kiddos with dogs, chickens, tortoises, snakes, toads, and crabs that I have photographed! One of my all time fav pics from when I was first starting photography is a of a boy with a praying mantis on the end of his finger....I LOVE that shot.
I really feel like people connect so much with their animals. I have 4 kids who many days act like animals so we don't have any cats or dogs (I guarantee if you ask them to act like a dog or cat they will....and for now that works for me). WE do however have a HERBERT....
Herbert is our tortoise...he likes to hang out in the back yard...eats whatever fruits and veggies I give him and generally is SUPER easy to have as a PET. AND....he will live until my kiddos are in their 20's...and that makes me really happy! So when people tell me they have pets that they want photographed...we always try to work it in...even if they do happen to be a dog almost as big as me! Pretty soon...Mr. "K" will be slobbering as much as the dog and mom and dad will have some serious fun on their hands! :)
So....in all of his grandeur....Mr. "K" and his new lifetime buddy...Mr. "M"!

Dad was SO excited that his "boy's" were being photographed so he jumped in for a couple of shots! I am saving those for the slideshow.

It truly does amaze me at how much some babies can look so similar....Mr. "K" reminds me of two clients I have had....he looks so similar to them....except for the RIDICULOUSLY awesome MOHAWK that this little 5 week old was sporting! Can you get over this...

Mr. "K"....
Mr. "K"'s momma and I chatted on the phone as I was getting ready to board a plane to New Hampshire....and well...I was lucky enough to photograph this little rockstar when I got home. He is a super little plumpy baby at 5 weeks old and has totally enamored his parents and me with his squishy goodness!
The hardest thing for me when I do an in home newborn session is to not just sit down and chat with the parents while holding the baby....it is so hard for me to photograph the babies when want I really want to do is smell their sweet baby chubb and just hang out! SO I LET the parents smell and love on him while I document them. It seems to go over better than me just soaking up the baby goodness! :)
